Diagnostic & Lab Technology, South Lebanon Vet

Our Diagnostic Services

Using the in-house veterinary diagnostics lab in our veterinary hospital, we are proud to offer advanced diagnostic testing in order to allow our vets to accurately diagnose and treat your pet's issues.

  • Radiography (X-Rays)

Using a radiograph, we are able to examine your pet's internal systems and structures in order to reveal information that may not otherwise be visible from the outside.

X-rays are safe, painless and non-invasive for your pet. And since x-rays only use very low doses of radiation. Since the level of radiation exposure required to perform radiography is quite low, even pregnant or very young animals can undergo this procedure.

Radiographs can be used to evaluate bones and organs, and diagnose conditions including broken bones, chronic arthritis, bladder stones, spinal cord diseases and some tumors.

  • Ultrasound

With ultrasound imaging procedures, our veterinary team exposes part of your pet's body to high-frequency sound waves in order to produce high-frequency sound waves of the inside of their body.

Since we are able to capture ultrasound images in real-time, we are able to see the structures and movements of your pet's internal organs as well as the blood flowing through your pet's blood vessels.

Having this valuable technology available to use in our in-house lab means that we can diagnose and treat your animal companion's condition as soon as possible.

Having this valuable technology available to our vets in our in-house lab means that your dog or cat's condition can be diagnosed quickly and treatment can start sooner.

  • Cold Lasers

Cold laser therapy is a non-invasive treatment for pets suffering from a wide range of conditions, from injuries sustained through trauma to inflammatory skin conditions.

Using low-intensity lasers, therapy with this technology induces a state in your pet's cells called photobiomodulation, encouraging cell growth, healing rates, and circulation in the affected area.

  • Bloodwork

Using the in-house lab in our South Lebanon veterinary hospital, we are able to run a wide variety of common and specialized blood tests and analyses to determine and monitor the health of your pet in addition to diagnosing illnesses.

Some of the most common veterinary blood tests we do are CBC (complete blood count), white blood count, hemoglobin and MCHC, hematocrit, platelets, eosinophils, and blood serum profile.

We are often able to provide you with the results of your blood tests before you leave your pet's appointment.

  • Dental X-Rays

If your cat or dog is suffering periodontal disease, much of this damage occurs below the gum line where it can't be easily seen. Dental X-Rays help our veterinarians assess your pet's oral health.

X-Rays are safe for your pet. They allow our team of veterinary professionals to examine roots, bones and internal anatomy of your cat or dog's teeth.
